ESPN anchor Stuart Scott passed away Sunday morning at the age of 49, after a longtime fight with cancer. Respected and loved by many, Scott was a trailblazer in his field. He truly brought forth a new way to broadcast, never afraid to color outside of the lines. “Booyah,” “as cool as the other side of the pillow,” and “just call him butter cuz he’s on a roll” were just a few of the Sportscenter legend’s famous catchphrases.
As not only the league, but the entire sports community paid their respects to Scott, several members of the Miami Heat (as well as the organization itself) took to social media express their condolences.

“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” – Stuart Scott. It takes courage to give your best in an everyday fight, while still being able to appreciate the moment you're in. His journey was and is an inspiration. He will be missed. My prayers are with his family. #RestInPower
